To the south it goes
As the the Anduin falls
Through the forest old
To the seas of south
And the mountains west (the mountains west)
There he drowned
A noble king
There he drowned
From the woodlands realm
There he drowned
With all it's hope
There he drowned
A noble King
To the sea it left
From the Northland
The autumn wind came strong
Into the night storm
He's now gone for long
The hills they named
Dol Amroth
For love he waited
But death came first
The Avantgarde Music vinyl edition brought this to my attention; I'm a bit late, but wow.
Lots of genres are spanned here and yet it remains really cohesive. Epic, ghastly, slightly ambient. No need to be a hardcore Tolkien fan or anything either – just dig in and enjoy. Alice M.
